Giclée Printing

Dolce Mia uses a process called giclée printing to create the vivid colors and outstanding level of detail of the Sew Vintage line.

“Giclée” (pronounced zheeCLAY) is a French term meaning to squirt or spray. It describes a technique for making fine-art quality prints using color-accurate, ultra high-resolution inkjet systems. Though giclée is significantly more expensive than other methods of printing on fabric, we chose the process for its superior image quality and archival characteristics. The photographic level of detail you see in our Sew Vintage products is only possible with giclée printing. We think it is worth it.

Archival

The images on our Sew Vintage products are archival and fade- and water-resistant. The pages in our photo albums and brag book are acid-free and lignin-free and pvc-free.

Care

Direct UV rays can be damaging to any photograph or piece of fine art. Do not display Dolce Mia products for long periods in direct sunlight.

At the risk of stating the obvious, though our giclée prints are water-resistant, we recommend avoiding getting our Sew Vintage products wet.
