It’s really nice that you can just put the Space placemat under the faucet to wash. and the space design is so fun.

The Western Tots Thank You Cards were just what I was looking for to “round-up” all my appreciation for gifts given for my baby! It is so difficult to find vintage style cards that are for children. Hope you get more of the vintage/retro style of goods! Thanks!

Lather Up in Vintage Style
Dolce Mia Brings Vintage Design to Natural Soap Line
Sonoma County, CA – (August 25, 2008) –
Natural ingredients, original fragrances and strikingly unique packaging define Dolce Mia’s new line of natural bar and liquid soaps for the Gift and Personal Care markets. With fourteen styles in three thematic categories—Hawaiian, Pin-up and Western—Dolce Mia’s soaps will appeal to anyone who appreciates great design, subtle fragrances and natural body care products.
Produced locally, using traditional family recipes, Dolce Mia’s natural soaps do not contain any harsh detergents or preservatives and are not tested on animals. The soaps are kind to the environment and biodegradable. The bar soap is a moisturizing all-natural glycerin soap. The liquid soap is castile soap, made from plant-derived oils including olive-oil.
For packaging, Dolce Mia wraps each soap in a patterned wrapper, then adds a giclee-printed canvas band for accent. Styles include: Cowgirl, Golden Girl Pin-up, Surfer Boy, Vintage Hawaiian, Wild West and Horsin’ Around. The fragrances harmonize with the themes. Pin Up is made perfect with a Vintage Tuberose floral scent; Hula Girl is completed with a Pikake Flower blend. Soaps are also enriched with additives such as shea butter, farm-fresh goat’s milk or aloe, making each bar as luxurious and beneficial as possible.
Fine Soaps of Sonoma County will be available beginning in September in better salons, groceries, book stores, clothiers and gift shops everywhere.

About Dolce Mia Designs:
Founded in 1995 by the designer Jenny Mountjoy, Dolce Mia produces vintage-themed stationery, home-décor and soaps for the gift and bath & body markets. Dolce Mia is headquartered in Sonoma County, California, north of San Francisco, in an area known for its farms and pastoral landscapes, small food producers & fine wines.
About Jenny Mountjoy:
Born in Chicago, Jenny was raised in Santa Barbara in the 1970’s. She recounts a groovy Californian surfer lifestyle that sounds like something out of the movies. Her father was a prominent restauranteur, and also held the lease on the town’s principal music venue, the Santa Barbara County Bowl. Jenny’s upbringing included lots of great food as well as front row seats to every rock and R & B show that came to town.
By the time she went to college, Jenny was ready to leave the party lifestyle behind. She attended UC Santa Cruz, which at the time was in its infancy, and as low-key a university as you could find. Graduating with a degree in Psychology, she went on to live and work in England at a fashion magazine, returning to work in the education department of the Boston Museum of Science. She received her Masters in Arts Education from Stanford in 1992 and worked briefly in a school in San Francisco before starting Dolce Mia in the basement of her San Francisco apartment. The first stores to every carry Dolce Mia products were in San Francisco and in Nantucket, Massachusetts, where the Mountjoys have a summer home.
Today Jenny lives with her husband, two sons and five sheep in Occidental, California. Her work with Dolce Mia reflects her inspiring, charismatic personality, her Californian upbringing and her professional training in the arts. Jenny combines a refined sense of aesthetics with West Coast charm and originality, a deep-rooted modesty with a brilliant sense of humor and great friendliness, and a commitment to a well-balanced life.
We loved them both. Firefighter Invitations are cute and different, and the Jungle picture frame matches my son’s “jungle” room perfectly.

The following are descriptions of the custom fragrance blends used in Dolce Mia’s new Fine Soaps of Sonoma County line. Our fragrance blends were developed exclusively for Dolce Mia to coordinate with and enhance the thematic elements of our soaps. In the vast market of over-perfumed, artificial and predictable smelling soaps, ours stands apart with fragrances that are rich, deep without being overpowering, and unique.
This fruity and refreshing scent could stir up an appetite. It’s the kind of delicious aroma that merits a warning like those found on surfboard Wax: “Do not eat/chew”. The pure, fragrant mango and tangerine are perfectly balanced—full of complex flavor with a tangerine high note and just sweet enough.
Color: mellow sunset
Styles: Surfer Boy, Surfer Girl
A rich undercurrent defines this luscious scent of fruit and flowers. Citrus high notes emphasize freshness, with a hint of coconut to ground our scent in the tropics. It’s a fresh take on the suntan smells we remember.
Color: leaf
Styles: Vintage Hawaiian, Hula Couple
This scent is a fresh twist on tradition, starting with a classic floral blend plus a heady addition of tuberose. A soft, sensual yet subtle floral, this scent is sweetly seductive, reminding us of the attraction of the flower.
Color: petal pink
Styles: Golden Girl, Red Hot, Starlet
The native Hawaiian Pikake flower is used in the traditional Hawaiian lei and is known throughout the world as “Hawaiian night blooming jasmine”. Fresh and uplifting, its smell will stimulate memories of a tropical evening breeze. Lush, sweet, and a bit exotic.
Color: Pikake white
Styles: Hula Girl
This clean outdoorsy scent emanates elements of freshly chopped wood, new leather and lemon verbena. Calming, bold and inspiring, it speaks to those who love a fresh clean confident cleanse.
Color: light saddle
Styles: Western
Simply the most perfect vanilla scent around for the body. Creamy, with a wisp of sweetness, this scent is rich and versatile. A delectable fragrance the whole family will enjoy.
Color: cream
Styles: Horsey Girl
This scent is pure almond with a hint of sweetness. The plush almond aroma is smooth and bright with currant high notes – appealing and fulfilling for all ages.
Color: light Almond
Styles: Howdy, Horsin’ Around
An exquisitely balanced combination of flower and mineral, our ambery lavender scent is loaded with both vitalizing and calming aromatic qualities. Loved by lavender purists, this scent also has universal appeal, with its added depth of rich amber notes.
