Just got the thank-you note. They really loved [the Jungle Animals Safari Picture Frame]. They are big safari types and she had done her nursery in a jungle theme, which is why it caught my eye. Thanks for your help.

Dolce Mia recently had the pleasure of introducing our new Fine Soaps of Sonoma County to the stars. Nancy Borgnine invited designer Jenny Mountjoy to attend a pre-Emmy Awards party to introduce her brand new line. The response from the celebrities was fantastic. We were thrilled. We thought, These are people who can have any soap they want, and they want ours!
Jenny Mountjoy designed not only the vintage graphics but the fragrances as well. Celebrities were able to enjoy all eight scents: Pikake, Ambery Lavender, Vintage Tuberose, Tropical Citrus, Vanilla, Leathery Western, Sweet Almond and Mango Tangerine.

About Dolce Mia Designs:
Founded in 1995 by the designer Jenny Mountjoy, Dolce Mia produces vintage-themed stationery, home-décor and soaps for the gift and bath & body markets. Dolce Mia is headquartered in Sonoma County, California, north of San Francisco, in an area known for its farms and pastoral landscapes, small food producers & fine wines.
About Jenny Mountjoy:
Born in Chicago, Jenny was raised in Santa Barbara in the 1970’s. She recounts a groovy Californian surfer lifestyle that sounds like something out of the movies. Her father was a prominent restauranteur, and also held the lease on the town’s principal music venue, the Santa Barbara County Bowl. Jenny’s upbringing included lots of great food as well as front row seats to every rock and R & B show that came to town.
By the time she went to college, Jenny was ready to leave the party lifestyle behind. She attended UC Santa Cruz, which at the time was in its infancy, and as low-key a university as you could find. Graduating with a degree in Psychology, she went on to live and work in England at a fashion magazine, returning to work in the education department of the Boston Museum of Science. She received her Masters in Arts Education from Stanford in 1992 and worked briefly in a school in San Francisco before starting Dolce Mia in the basement of her San Francisco apartment. The first stores to every carry Dolce Mia products were in San Francisco and in Nantucket, Massachusetts, where the Mountjoys have a summer home.
Today Jenny lives with her husband, two sons and five sheep in Occidental, California. Her work with Dolce Mia reflects her inspiring, charismatic personality, her Californian upbringing and her professional training in the arts. Jenny combines a refined sense of aesthetics with West Coast charm and originality, a deep-rooted modesty with a brilliant sense of humor and great friendliness, and a commitment to a well-balanced life.

Dolce Mia’s Fine Soaps of Sonoma County to be Featured in Craft Magazine
Dolce Mia’s new retro-inspired line of natural soaps, Fine Soaps of Sonoma County will be featured in the December issue of Craft Magazine. Craft likes our unique and creative packaging, in which a custom printed wrapper is encircled with a giclee-printed canvas band.
Jenny Mountjoy is the creative force behind Dolce Mia. The founder of the company and designer, she is responsible most recently for the packaging and eight original fragrances for Fine Soaps of Sonoma County.

The stars at the Emmy Awards loved Dolce Mia’s Cowgirl Soaps. All-natural, good-looking and great-smelling, Dolce Mia’s Sittin’ Cowgirl Soap and Shootin’ Cowgirl Soap designs are delicious to use and make great Cowgirl party favors. Everyone who has smelled or used our Cowgirl loves them. You will too.
Just a few weeks ago Nancy Borgnine picked up our press release off the Web. Attracted by our Vintage Tuberose scent and the unique packaging she invited us down to L.A. for a pre-Emmys swag party, offering Dolce Mia’s Fine Soaps of Sonoma County a prime location.
Our soaps were the hit of the party. We have piles of testimonials and photos of stars enjoying the scents and the packaging. (We’ll be posting them soon. Stay tuned!) “Where can I get it?” was the oft-repeated refrain.

Dolce Mia is more than just a great soap line, it’s the story of how one woman’s hobby became her family business and allowed her to follow her dream of living out in the country…and having sheep.
